Mission Outreach

The theme verse is from the story of the Good Samaritan - Luke 10:27 So Jesus answered and said,

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, will all your strength, and with all your mind” and “your neighbor as yourself”.

Heartfelt gratitude goes out to the entire congregation for your giving of your time, talents and donations to the Mission Outreach programs.

We have a dedicated team who meets every other month to discuss needs of the community and provide updates to the current programs already in motion. We welcome everyone to join. Even if just to share an idea or concern they may have which we should add into our activities.

Current Programs and related charities

Food Collection: Every 2nd Sunday 9:30 AM – 11 AM.

The food is delivered on the following Monday to Central Lutheran church in Van Nuys. The food is then allocated to other Lutheran churches in the Twin Valley Parish.

Hope of the Valley - https://www.hopeofthevalley.org/ Hope of the Valley has been identified as a worthy cause for our donations.

This organization has made a commitment to ending homelessness in our community. They have opened a community of Tiny Homes located in North Hollywood. I encourage you to take a look at their link. They also offer tours to the public.

Another new program is a bank of showers for the homeless to utilize. They have asked for shampoo and conditioner in addition to clothing donations. In coming months you may see us ask for these items in addition to the food collection. They will be delivered along with the food on the following Mondays.
